We’ll often be adding new free tabs to our Free page. This week, we’re excited to add a great song by New York City’s Wes Hutchinson that we can’t seem to get out of our heads. We think you’ll have fun playing it, too.

Wes is an accomplished songwriter, and no doubt you’ve heard his songs without even knowing it, as Wes has had a slew of TV placements. Our free song, “Move On,” is no exception and has appeared on both Gossip Girl and The Real World. Wes was also awarded the Abe Olman Scholarship for Excellence in Songwriting presented by the Songwriters Hall of Fame and BMI. Not too shabby. If you like “Move On”, there’s lots of great stuff on Wes’s album “Down In Flames”, available on iTunes. (“Stoned Beautiful” is another of our  fav’s.)

As always, the artists on our free page have graciously allowed you to download the MP3 of their song along with the free tab. (Thanks, Wes!) And if you’re in New York City, Wes will be appearing at Rockwood Music Hall on Saturday, July 31st.

Hope you enjoy. And thanks for supporting indie music! More new songs coming soon…

We’ve had some lovely folks spreading the word about our site and we couldn’t be happier. After Bess Rogers posted this funny blog about us, some of her fans began doing the same herehere and here.  Thank you, Macy, Heather and Jim!

We’re thrilled to launch Abatab.com! This blog is one of the places you can find out when we post new songs (including free songs) and add new artists to our roster. We’ll also give you the skinny on what your favorite Abatab artists are up to.

In a nutshell, Abatab.com’s mission is to provide fans with accurate, affordable indie sheet music, licensed directly from our artists. Artists earn a majority of the sales proceeds, so your Abatab purchases provide them with a brand-new revenue stream for their songs. This means that when you buy their sheet music, you’re supporting your favorite artists!

Our site is currently in beta. Have some feedback? We’d love to hear what you’re thinking: feedback [at] abatab.com

Stay tuned! You can subscribe to the blog’s RSS feed, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook, too.
